School and Skate Mini Bus! Daily School Transport for Local Youths! Aim: As an NGO we are targeting schools that have insufficient or no interior transportation options for local students! We believe learning should be available to all by whatever means of transport is needed! (See YouTube Video Link Below!)  Our Mission: Lanka Skateaid is a registered NGO focusing on increasing attendance at the schools in poor rural communities. And at the same time offering free skateboarding classes and equipment to offer a new sport activity with Olympics potential! We have established this Crowdfunding campaign to specifically help a local school in Poonagala, UVA Province in a very rural location where the primary activity is agricultural employment at the tea plantations. We believe learning should be available to all rain or shine! And at the same time offering free skateboarding classes and equipment to offer a new sport activity with Olympics potential! This school in Namunakula has 130 students but they have insufficient interior space and furniture to allow for daily lessons. First Sri Lankan Skateboard Charity Organisation! to Promote Skate Sport for Local Youth!

SkateAid Lanka is a non-profit organization founded for the sole purpose of sharing the exciting and dynamic Skateboard Sport & Culture with the local youth and schools of Sri Lanka!  Our first project is based in Ballaketuwa, UVA Province, Sri Lanka with over 1500 students attending schools within just 5kms! The NGO Lanka Skateaid Guarantee Limited, is dedicated to rolling out Skateparks across the country and providing free equipment for local youths to learn skateboarding! The first Skatepark we are currently completing is located here in Ballaketuwa, Sri Lanka perched on the mountains at about 1100 meters of elevation and with majestic views of the Wellawaya Valley and its lakes and waterfalls making for a super scenic and enjoyable Sk8 Spot!
